Seriously Geeky Sundays: What makes you smile?

Ah, smiling legitimately is one of the best feelings ever!! I’ve worn millions of fake smiles to get through many hard days, but there’s nothing like the real thing to boost my mood, as rare as that is sometimes.

The awesome Heather over at Just Geeking By started a series of blogging prompts called Seriously Geeky Sundays. This week is all about appreciating the things that make us smile in honor of National Smile Day. Definitely check out Heather’s creative prompts and take part in the fun if you want! I’m absolutely loving her questions so far.

So… without anymore intro babbling from me, here are my answers to Just Geeking By’s smiley questions for this week. Thank you, Heather!

May 2020 – Asundered!

Yes, I am aware asundered isn’t a word, but I don’t care! My website, my word rules. Ha! Anyway, welcome to my monthly wrap-up article! Let’s see what went down in my online life during these past 28-31 days…

And another month bites the dust! Wow. I can’t comprehend the flow of time during this coronapocalypse era. Just gotta take ‘er one day at a time, eh!

Ignoring the present world disasters, this month’s personal theme has been all about letting go of the past’s drama. I’ve found myself in the tough position of having to work with a huge old demon for an interesting future opportunity. Could my dark past be the path to my bright future? Who knows. If it works out, I’ll tell y’all about it. For now, my lips are sealed.

On another front, finally accepting that I’ve totally screwed up with someone I love, feelings are difficult for everyone to deal with, and that some bridges just can’t be rebuilt has brought me closer to true inner peace at last. I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long, long time because of these realizations. And for that, I am eternally grateful. Thanks for sorta being on my side for once, brain!

The Great Blog Crawl’s Official Bartender

Attention future patrons of the The Great Blog Crawl’s virtual pub event! We are pleased to announce the hiring of our famous official bartender: Quietschisto of RNG.

The quality Quietschisto has agreed to present a crash course in cocktail making during the event so that our valued guests have the ability to mix their own drinks at home. For anyone wanting to mix-a-long to his awesome instructions on June 6th, you’re going to need precious ingredients which can be found in Quietschisto’s official shopping guide.

See you all June 6th 2020 at the fine Later Levels’ Twitch channel establishment! In case you missed the announcements, you can find full event details here and here.

Please note: Designated bloggers are more than welcome to participate in the Blog Crawl festivities! If you don’t drink, power to you. There’s A LOT of social pressure in society to partake in adult beverage consumption and we fully respect and support you if that’s not your thing. ❤

Do you like our content and want to support Ace Asunder? Check out how you can do that here! (Shocking Spoiler: It doesn’t involve giving us money for writing this.)

Have You Ever…

… run out of blogging ideas? I clearly have!

Nah. I’m kidding. I’ve seen a gamer version of this post tag question thing floating around the blogging community (that’s also on my To Do list) but thought it’d be fun to steal this regular version from the cool Quietschisto of RNG, who stole it from the cool Chrisse of Vamp It Up Manchester.

So here are my answers to questions about things I’ve done! And my introductions in articles clearly need work… but meh.

The Great Blog Crawl

Attention fellow bloggers and coronapocalypse survivors!

It sure is a weird-complicated-confusing time we all live in, eh? The general state of normality that we all took for granted has been utterly destroyed by rogue packets of RNA. I won’t say their official name, but you know who I mean. Little buggers.

Now more than ever we need pubs to escape to and drown our sorrows alongside friends… but the thing-that-shall-not-be-named has taken that away from us too. Alas!

All hope is not lost, however! Thanks to the power of the internet, we can stay connected to the beloved virus vectors… I mean, the friends and family in our lives without actually seeing them in reality. Wouldn’t it be cool if we could somehow find a way to recreate the pub atmosphere online, while promoting a bunch of talented bloggers in the community as a bonus?

While chatting with my good friend, the always awesome Kim of Later Levels (who deserves some serious props for listening to my incessant rambling frequently), we came up with a terrific excuse to get drunk great way to make that online pub pipe dream a reality!

Seriously Geeky Sundays: Food

Oh, man… am I ever in a MOOD today. I’ve sobbed and raged, but I haven’t let those painful feelz control me. I can’t fight how I’m feeling in these crappy moments, I can only control my actions and not act like self-destructive trainwreck. Being aware that the only thing in this crazy world I can control is me is a great coping mechanism I’ve learned to utilize with professional help, some trial, and a ton of catastrophic errors. Go me! Enough about my moods… let’s talk about da foods!

Speaking of food, quick shout-out to the awesome Later Levels for holding an epic dinner photo not-really-but-was-contest during their Twitch stream earlier today! Plus their Eurovision Division stream last night was a freaking blast. All that really brightened my weekend! Thank you for that.

Anyway, the awesome Heather over at Just Geeking By started a series of blogging prompts called Seriously Geeky Sundays. This week is all about the fantastic fictional food. Definitely check out Heather’s creative prompts and take part in the fun if you want! I’m absolutely loving her questions so far.

So… without anymore intro babbling from me, here are my answers to Just Geeking By’s sating questions for this week. Thank you, Heather!

Troubling Tomahawk From Grand Theft Auto V

Mwahahaha!! My crazed criminal alter ego Genni and I had lots of fun together this past Sunday night/Monday morning. Yep. I was a sleepless wreck for work from home yesterday (rolling out of bed 5 minutes before my shift FTW), but dammit, it was worth it.

Genni and I hadn’t really spent a lot of time together before that. Let’s see… I wasted a bunch of the starter money on tattoos, cars, and properties after she was created. Oh! And she had a blast hanging out with the lovely Later Levels crew plus the dashing Dan of nowisgames.com on a live Twitch stream last Wednesday.

Well… she mostly got drunk and died a lot, but it was the best time ever once technology worked! She went up to Rank 2 from all the chaos as a bonus. That was also my first time “on-air gaming” and it was pretty freaking cool, and only a tiny bit terrifying. Shout-out again to Later Levels for the invite!

Seriously Geeky Sundays: Family

Oh, crap… It’s Mother’s Day here in Canada. I should probably contact my mom in some form after this, eh? I’m not even sure what year it is anymore so I’m sure she’ll understand. Plus I can pull the corona card to avoid a rushed visit. Ha! But yeah, family.

Family is a bit of a, um, “complex concept” for me. I’ll spare the drama details, but I only have my parents and my two cats to call family. Just because you’re related to people by blood doesn’t mean you have to refer to them as family. Sometimes you just gotta let go of the toxic people who don’t really want you in their lives. Besides, true friends who become like family are infinitely more awesome than forced blood ties. I’m grateful to have quite a few of those cool true friends, both online and offline. Thank you ❤

The awesome Heather over at Just Geeking By started a series of blogging prompts called Seriously Geeky Sundays. This week is all about the family thing. Definitely check out Heather’s creative prompts and take part in the fun if you want! I’m absolutely loving her questions so far.

So… without anymore intro babbling from me, here are my answers to Just Geeking By’s familia realted questions for this week. Thank you, Heather!
