Badass Friga Bearfist From Elder Scrolls Online

Have you ever just clicked with an insignificant quest NPC you’ve spent several seconds talking with, and know you will never see them again, ever, after their minor part in the overall quest is over? That would be Friga Bearfist for me!

I finally finished the freaking Sun-in-Shadow quest line tonight (she needs to learn to let go, man) and wandered back down toward Vivec City. One side quest led to another and I stumbled upon The Scarlet Judge’s quest line.

He’s a total vigilante badass, by the way. My natural Chaotic Good character alignment immediately fell in love with him. I so want to hug him really tightly. Ahem. I’m not far into his quest thus far, but one of the first things to do was get some testimony from some unfortunate slave-prisoners nearby (and murder the thugs in the area). That’s where I met Friga Bearfist!

She certainly hasn’t let her current imprisonment dampen her fiery spirit. Based on the few lines of dialog with her, she seems to really love punching idiots and I highly approve of that. Punching a jackass in the face is such a therapeutic release and something I wish was more socially acceptable in our world full of idiots.

Yup. I’d definitely love to grab a drink with you sometime, Friga. There’s no doubt in my mind you and my Orc Dragonknight would be BFFs. I’ll also probably forget you in a few days, but will always be reminded of you thanks to this post. That’s the power of blogging right there!

Yeah. There’s a high probability tomorrow’s post will be a screenshot of The Scarlet Judge. We shall see what happens with him! Carry on, internet.

Bounty Bound From Elder Scrolls Online

I won’t lie… there is a slight chance that for the rest of my blogging career my posts will just be screenshots of Elder Scrolls Online. And you know what? I’ve embraced that possibility. I haven’t played an MMO since I quit World of Warcraft in 2015. It’s so good to be back on the wagon when the real world is falling apart!

Today’s screenshot triggered topic: Oh, man… I’m terrible at stealthing in video games. I’ve only done two required stealthing sections thus far in ESO. One resulted in the death of a guard (my sword slipped, I swear), servants screaming, and my Orc paying the authorities 85 gold coins to make her Bounty go away. Oops!

Stealth event two went… better? I didn’t accidentally on purpose kill anyone this time, the servants still screamed, I got killed to be respawned next to the person I was illegally getting the item for (convenient!), and my Orc only had to pay 35 gold to get her innocence back. Yeah. That’s definitely better, I think!

It might be easier on NPCs in the realm if I just offered to buy any future quest items I’m required to steal. It certainly cuts out the bounty collector guards as middlemen and puts the profits solely with the people I’m stealing stuff from.

Disgruntled Dragonknight From Elder Scrolls Online

I actually don’t want to spend much time doing blog things today, and that’s okay! Recognizing when you’re just not into a hobby and stepping back from it is an important skill I’ve finally mastered. Forcing yourself to do unnecessary things that are supposed to be fun leads to burnouts and self-destruction. I know that trip all too well…

Anyway, I just started playing Elder Scrolls Online on the weekend (entirely Later Levels‘ fault) and I want to do that more right now. So I’m just going to say I love the game, my Orc Dragonknight is a total badass, and here’s a screenshot of her being cranky in Sun-in-Shadow’s fancy new hireling house (working on that quest line now) for today’s Blapril post. Enjoy!
